This is a beautiful, small winery, with a great picnic area, a nice gift collection, a knowledgeable and friendly staff, a great tasting room and spectacular wines. They run numerous events on their picnic grounds complete with an outdoor kitchen.
They have both a basic and reserve tasting, and the best way to get their wines is through the wine club because their production is limited and the wines are popular. Many of their wines are distributed solely to their wine club.
This area normally grows great grapes, so the variable becomes how much effort and labor the owners are willing to put into the farm work and winemaking. In Lambert Bridge’s case that means having three winemakers, state of the art equipment and a lot of money spent on new French oak barrels. The result are wines that compete well with the best of Napa at a fraction of the cost.
